maryland launches legislative blog to keep members informed

tom hood, ceo of the maryland association of cpas says it is the most active legislature he has been in since taking the job ten years ago. he sums it up by paraphrasing author mark twain, “no cpas life, liberty, or pursuit of happiness are safe while the legislature is in session!”. with thirty days left in the maryland general assembly, tom is rallying his grassroots to fight several legislative proposals. “our members are very engaged in these issues”, says tom, “they are helpings us testify, and we have generated almost 100 letters to legislators on these various proposals.”
