<\/a>many concerns haven’t changed. by ed mendlowitz<\/i> many of my stories occurred many years ago \u2013 some are from a half century ago \u2013 so the question is, are they still relevant and why am i telling them now?<\/p>\n more:<\/b> working hard? or hardly working?<\/a> | beyond the numbers: be a friend<\/a> | perception becomes reality<\/a> | the making of a consultant<\/a> well, maybe the exact circumstances are archaic, but the lessons and principles are as applicable today as they were when i lived through them. client relationships have changed \u2013 at least some of the methods have \u2013 but not the need for strong, caring interactions. the concept that clients still want to know that you did the work before you made your recommendations is as applicable today as it ever was. being an advisor to clients \u2013 as well as a friend and sympathetic ear \u2013 is essential to a sound, lasting relationship. nothing has changed over the years.<\/p>\n i have searched through everything i wrote in my autobiographical articles for accounting today and couldn\u2019t find anything that is not as valid today as it ever was. these stories explain<\/p>\n i hope you learn from them, as i have as they were happening \u2013 in today\u2019s parlance \u2013 in real time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
