paycycle, whose customer base has doubled to 18,000 in the past year under founder rene lacerte (yes, that lacerte family), has hired james heeger, senior vice president at adobe systems, as president and chairman.lacerte, current ceo, will become cfo and lead the company’s finance and business development efforts. lacerte, who helped start the online payroll provider in 1999, goes back a long way with heeger. they worked in intuit’s payroll business together at one time. and heeger has remained a friend and confidante.<\/p>\n
