you can prepare your financial information, balance sheet, income statement, or whatever else inside excel. you could then paste it directly into your next powerpoint presentation, word document, or anything else. but the trick is not to paste and leave it there but to paste and link it.
the benefit of pacing and linking is that powerpoint and excel will maintain a link to each other. when your excel workbook updates, your powerpoint presentation also updates. when you give that presentation to the board of directors, and you make a late-night addition to your excel workbook, no worries; your powerpoint presentation will be reflected with that change as long as you’ve pasted in and linked them together.
