- eat lunch out of your office.
- go for a 15-minute walk in middle of afternoon instead of eating a snack.
- take off either march 17 or 18.
- respond immediately to any client complaint.
- if you won’t meet a promised deadline, call client as soon as you know it and give a new date; don’t call two days later.
- do something that is fun in the office on april 1st.
- call an aunt you haven’t spoken to lately.
- block out time to watch the ncaa finals, or buy a ticket for opening day of the baseball season. and go!
- read for enjoyment.
- realize that while you are working under extreme pressure, so are your staffers and their families. be gentle.
