overall, the total number of employees in the tax and accounting sector is dropping again, but not nearly as dramatically as at payroll agencies.

the payroll segment lost almost 15 percent of its jobs in the latest data collected by 卡塔尔世界杯常规比赛时间 research. in some consolation, though, those who are left are seeing record new earnings.

nationally, the unemployment rate fell to 10.2 percent in july as total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 1.8 million in july. notably, job numbers showed some recovery in leisure and hospitality, government, retail trade, professional and business services, other services, and health care.

the current count shows the tax and accounting profession with 1,015,500 employees, up a scant 900 or 0.1 percent for the latest month available, but down 17,500, or 1.7 percent, for last 12 months.

tax and accounting employees, overall, are averaging 36.1 hours per week, down half an hour, or 1.4 percent, for the month, and 6 minutes, or 0.3 percent, for the year.

all employees, average hourly earnings: down 13 cents for the month, 82 cents for the year.

on average, tax and accounting employees are making $34.95 an hour, down 13 cents, or 0.4 percent, for the month, but up 82 cents, or 2.4 percent, for the year.

staff rosters: up 12,200 for the month, down 24,300 for the year.

 

non-supervisory staff numbers stand at 748,800, up 12,200 or 1.7 percent, for the month, but down 24,300, or 3.1 percent, for the year.
