one of my favorite tools is microsoft excel, the swiss army knife of any financial professional. did you know that you can easily do budgeting and forecasting inside excel?

in fact, forecasting has never been easier than using the forecast ets function.

forecast.ets allows you to forecast the future of cash flows by peering into your crystal ball and peering around the corner to see your potential future cash flows based on historical data. so, it’s super easy to take your historical sales and costs and then project into the future to get a good sense of what you might do in the next month, quarter, or year. so, check out the forecast ets function the next time you want to do easy financial forecasting inside excel.

if you want an even easier approach, check out the forecast sheet function. it does everything the functionality does, but it also gives you a nice graph simultaneously.
