just in case you have run out of marketing ideas, what follows is a laundry list of activities for your consideration. any marketing activity you undertake needs to start with an understanding of your market, and then develop the activity around those needs. marketing is about getting in front of your targets so that they can see how much you can help them.

if you don’t start with the above premise, your marketing activities and strategies are done in a vacuum. here is a list of marketing activities you should consider once you know what your clients and prospects need from you. start with the ones that you feel most comfortable with:

  • review referral sources to determine which ones are no longer active.
  • meet with active referral sources to thank them for past referrals.
  • teach an adult education course at your local university or school.
  • introduce a client to a business associate who can become either a vendor or a client.
  • communicate more often with your clients by posting on social media useful articles about their business.
  • develop new services, such as profit improvement, wealth management, etc. that can benefit your clients.
  • update the biographies of each firm member so that they highlight the benefits that clients and prospects will receive from them and your firm.
  • provide clients with a satisfaction guarantee.
