a reference or testimonial can be crucial because they are typically unbiased comments that will either prompt managers to secure an interview with a hopeful job candidate or they can encourage others to try your products or services.
according to impact branding & design, “you should use testimonials to help establish credibility. testimonials work because they aren’t strong sales pitches. they come across in an unbiased voice and establish trust. you’re using real people to show success in your product or service.”
let’s look at two of the easiest ways to capture testimonials.
one of my favorite survey tools, typeform, created a clever platform that lets you record a brief video of yourself asking something (which is called videoask, of course). then, you can encourage feedback from your viewer and ask for video responses, such as testimonials. of course, there are other resources in typeform that can help you, including quiz, survey, poll and test makers, as well as a form builder. it also has popular and featured templates–including a customer feedback form. like many professional subscription services, typeform has three plans. the basic plan is $25 a month and includes 100 responses per month with one user. the plus plan is $50 a month and includes 1,000 responses and three users, and the business plan is $83 a month and includes 10,000 responses and up to five users. each of the plans is billed yearly. videoask, which was created by typeform, also has three plans. the start plan is free and includes 20 minutes of video or audio processing per month. the grow plan is $24 a month and includes 100 minutes per month of video or audio processing, while the brand plan is $40 per month and includes 200 minutes. both the grow and brand plans are billed annually.
