before you buy a bunch of tech tools and start your trial-and-error software tests, check out software review sites that can help, especially in popular categories like crms, project management, email marketing and human resources.
here are three i really like:
- capterra: capterra is a software review and selection platform with free consultations. according to the website, capterra began in 1999 and, since then, has been “the web’s leading free resource for business software help. we connect you to insights and software to help you do better work.” capterra has more than 800 software categories, more than 1.5 million validated reviews and more than 50,000 products. with capterra, you can also complete a short questionnaire to get personalized software suggestions, filter software, compare options and save favorites. plus, capterra states it is 100% free to use.
- g2: according to g2.com, this is the place to go to “choose the right software and services for your business based on 2,016,400+ authentic, timely reviews from real users.” popular categories on the site include project management, video conferencing, e-commerce platforms, marketing automation, crm, expense management, erp systems, online backup and, yes, accounting. g2 offers to “eliminate software waste” using g2 track, which allows companies instant saas visibility, offering management ways to make better tech stack decisions.
- trustradius: this buyer intent software helps businesses track verified reviews and ratings of different products, allowing users to add products across multiple categories. similar to g2 and capterra, trustradius states, “we don’t sell leads or paid placements. vendors can’t skew results, period.” interestingly, there are also reviews for trustradius–on g2.
