actually, those of us with wanderlust probably spend a fair amount of time on travel apps, specifically hoping to find that too-good-to-be-true dream trip. here are two of my favorites.
first, explore destinations using skyscanner, a reputable site that started in 2002 as one of the most
comprehensive metasearch engines for airfare. the site also allows you to compare hotel and car rental prices. once you decide you want to purchase, the site redirects you. there are, however, some disadvantages: skyscanner does not work offline, does not have promo codes and not all airlines and flights are covered, so you may still want to visit your preferred travel provider(s) the first few times you use it to verify you are getting the best price.
when you’ve decided upon your favorite destination, another app also comes in handy. throw a few dates into the hopper app to discover the best time to buy your tickets. for trips you know are on the horizon, set an alert with hopper so you can get notifications when prices are at their lowest.
