we frequently use 24-hour recorded information lines to present specific tax information to leads. for example, we may mail a postcard offering free information about the newest changes to the offer in compromise program, and provide a toll-free number. i will then set up that number in callfire to contain a 5- to 10-minute recording about the oic program, its benefits, requirements and how to get started.
the “free information” is the lead generation “widget” to get the person to call. on the recording, i’ll also offer to email them a special report (to capture their email address), offer to mail them some information and allow them to “… press 1 to be connected to a licensed tax professional for an immediate, absolutely free consultation.”
- lease new phone number or create new extension/mailbox in phone system.
- create new script that provides the information offered in your marketing campaign.
- record script to the voicemail box, extension or new response number set up to track this campaign.
- place a test call to this number/extension.
- verify that you receive email notification of the test call with caller id details.
note: i currently use callfire.com for this functionality.
