accounting employment in most sectors is on the upswing, but the hikes that sometimes reached into the double digits in 2016 appear to be leveling off, even after adjusting for busy season differences, according to a new 卡塔尔世界杯常规比赛时间 analysis.

the u.s. economy overall added 235,000 jobs and the unemployment rate was largely unchanged at 4.7 percent, according to the most recent data. the professional and business services supersector, which includes accounting and bookkeeping services, added 37,000 jobs in february and 597,000 over the year.
all employees
overall employment in the profession stands at 996,900, down 100 jobs or statistically flat for the month, but is up 26,700 or 2.8 percent from the previous year.
these employees work an average 35.7 hours per week, up half an hour or 1.4 percent for the month but down 6 minutes or 0.3 percent for the year. their hourly earnings average $31.34, up 14 cents for the month and 31 cents for the year, 0.4 and 1 percent respectively.
staff
staff overall number 746,000, down 4,600 or 0.6 percent for the month but up 6,200 or 0.8 percent for the year. they work 34.2 hours a week, up 6 minutes or 0.3 percent for the month but down 24 minutes or 1.2 percent for the year. they make $24.39 an hour, up 4 cents or 0.2 percent for the month and down 2 cents or 0.1 percent for the year.
cpa firms, all employees
cpa firms employ 472,400, down 500 or 0.1 percent for the month but up 10,300 or 2.2 percent for the year. employees average 36.7 weekly hours, up 18 minutes or 0.8 percent for the month but down 1 hour or 2.7 percent for the year. they earn $34.03 per hour, up 4 cents or 0.1 percent for the month but down 46 cents or 1.3 percent for the year.
cpa firms, staff
staff at cpa firms number 345,600, up 400 for the month and 14,200 for the year, 0.1 and 4.3 percent respectively. hours average 35.1, up 12 minutes or 0.6 percent for the month but down 1 hour 6 minutes or 3 percent for the year. hourly earnings at $26.21 are up 8 cents or 0.3 percent for the month but down 13 cents or 0.5 percent for the year.
tax prep
tax preparation services employ 100,400, up 100 for the month and 3,500 for the year, or 0.1 and 3.6 percent respectively.
payroll agencies
overall employees in payroll services number 171,900, up 1,800 for the month and 6,100 for the year, respective gains of 1.1 and 3.7 percent. they work 35.6 hours per week, down 18 minutes or 0.8 percent for the month but up half an hour or 1.4 percent for the year. they earn an average $29.88 an hour, down 39 cents for the month and 94 cents for the year, respective declines of 1.3 and 3 percent.
staff at payroll total 146,100, up 2,000 or 1.4 percent for the month and 2,800 or 2 percent for the year. their weekly hours average 34.4, down 24 minutes or 1.1 percent for the month and flat for the year. they make $25.20 per hour, up 57 cents or 2.3 percent for the month and a nickel or 0.2 percent for the year.
bookkeeping
other accounting services employ 253,900, up 800 for the month and 1,400 for the year, respective upticks of 0.3 and 0.6 percent.
women
the profession counts 606,800 women on its rolls, down 7,200 or 1.2 percent for the month but up 3,300 or 0.5 percent for the year.
women in cpa firms number 288,800, down 200 or 0.1 percent for the month but up 10,000 or 3.6 percent for the year.
there are 81,000 women working in payroll services, up 200 for the month and 4,200 for the year, or 0.2 and 5.5 percent respectively.
