if you ignore it, will it go away?
the answer, of course, is an emphatic “no!” but that’s the wrong question.
“the right question is, how can we harness the power of these new, mostly free tools to help us as cpa professionals?” according to tom hood at the maryland cpa association. that’s why the macpa had a special four-hour session on the topic for members.
here is a copy of tom’s presentation:

one response to “social media: ask the right question”
social media training
social media is without a doubt here to stay. i actually question the percentages listed here and feel that they may be higher. i recently read somewhere that 100% of fortune 500 companies are represented on linkedin which is amazing to me. small businesses are slowly catching on though and testing the social media waters. just as google dominated search this past decade i see facebook, twitter, and linkedin dominating social media in the years to come.
thanks!
