great information i have been on the road the last three weeks listening to various consultants talking about technology and practice management issues and the themes are all the same.
everyone is taking a “serious look at software as a service, apple ipads, iphones and macbooks, and technology as a “competitive differentiator.” software as a sevice and the ease of getting to a firm’s application in one spot seems to be the most prevelant topic. everyone talks about the ipad and a number of partners are buying them for themselves for email and to stay cool but netbooks and pc’s are still the choice when it comes to arming the staff becuase of pricing. in addition more and more firms are going with laptops as the only machine when the staff works out of the office for some part of the week.
