cch names sabbatis to lead u.s. tax and accounting business

24-year veteran heads u.s. operations

riverwoods, ill. (cch release) — mike sabbatis, a 24-year veteran of the tax and and accounting industry, has been promoted to the newly created position of president, cch tax and accounting, u.s. most recently, sabbatis served as executive vice president of global sales and marketing for cch.

sabbatis rejoined cch as the head of business development in 2002 after a short stint outside the company. his track record in the profession started as a sales rep for cch computax.
along with the presidents of cch asia/pacific, cch canada and cch small firm services, sabbatis reports to wolters kluwer tax and accounting ceo, kevin robert. in his role as ceo of wolters kluwer tax and accounting, robert will focus on its overall performance, the four operating units and the execution of wolters kluwer’s strategic plan in tax and accounting markets globally.

as the head of cch’s tax and accounting business in the u.s., sabbatis will be overseeing cch’s rollout of a .net strategy, more technology streamlining, and further integrating tools and and content.

during his 24 years in the software, technology and information industries, sabbatis has led activities in sales, marketing, business development and consulting. before joining cch, sabbatis served as interim cmo for advantage moti, a division of datamatics, where he pioneered the launch of business process outsourcing of accounting functions to professional service firms.

sabbatis was also formerly vice president of business development and strategic accounts for thomson tax and accounting, where he led business development initiatives, national accounts, corporate key accounts and professional service key accounts for the compliance, accounting and information lines of business. in addition, sabbatis was vice president for sales and consulting for clr/fasttax and was a division sales manager and national account representative with cch computax, inc.
