well, if you’re a hard-working cpa with a passion for bleeding-edge technology, it might look something like this.
california cpa kendall wheeler snapped this picture, he says with a cpa’s precision, at 9:12 pm pst july 26, 2006. he claims it wasn’t staged at all. “this is typically what my workspace at home looks like on any given day.”
he’s even numbered and described each item in his workspace, with annotations below the picture.
some of the more interesting items:
4. the star wars saga – episodes 1 – 6 all at my fingertips
15. a stack of hard drives – seems whenever i reload my computer instead of wiping my hard drive and formatting it, i just buy another hard drive. i think one of them has windows vista beta 2 on it.
20. one of my more recent purchases is the western digital my book external hard drive – 500 gbs of unadulterated space (at least until i moved most of my media files on to it.)
21. the netgear sc101 storage central hard drive enclosure. currently installed with a 200 gb hard drive but room for another drive. this enclosure is connected directly to my network through my router so all computers on my home network can access it.
25. an extra cdrw/dvdrw drive just in case i need one.
32. epson stylus cx3810 printer/scanner/copier – replaced the visioneer onetouch scanner.
34. 19†lcd monitor
39. the pc – well, there it is – the reason for this entire area of my house. yes, it glows blue with the fan in the back. i never put on the side of it because i’m always pulling something out and putting something in. the hard drive laying on it’s side is one i pull and put on different drives for testing purposes of beta products.
44. microsoft keyboard and wireless mouse with fingerprint recognition (left-hand side of keyboard)
